Stuart Oelbaum
Stuart attended Northwestern University and graduated from George Washington University in 1973 with a degree in journalism. After college he was a sportswriter for a local newspaper in Maryland. Stuart came to Missouri to attend Washington University School of Law. After graduating in 1977, he began his career with a downtown law firm. He specialized in contested matters involving wills, trusts and estates. Over the years many judges and lawyers sought his counsel in these matters. He and Martha formed their partnership and founded Oelbaum & Brown in 1998.
Stuart was a man of exceptional integrity with a strong sense of justice and a great wit. He was an avid reader with a wide range of interests, including the creative arts. Stuart was an inspiration to all and first and foremost had a deep love for his children, family and friends.
Martha C. Brown
Martha Brown is an attorney and partner in the law firm of Oelbaum & Brown in St. Louis, Missouri.
She attended the University of Bath, Bath, England; the University of Vermont (B.A., 1976); and the University of Missouri-Kansas City (J.D., 1981).
Her areas of concentration are: Elder Law; Estate Planning Law and Probate Administration; and,
Guardianship and Conservatorship matters. She is a Certified Elder Law Attorney* as certified by the National Elder Law Foundation.
Ms. Brown is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is a member of the
Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (member, Elder Law Task Force 1996-99), (Chair of the Elder Law Symposium 1999-2000),
(Elder Law Committee, 1999 to present); the Missouri Bar (member, Probate and Trust Committee), (Chair of the Elder Law Committee,
2001-2004); National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; Women Lawyers' Association of Greater St. Louis (Board Member, 1996-99);
founding member and past President of the Missouri Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; a member of the
Special Needs Alliance LLC, a national alliance of disability lawyers; the Alzheimer's Association; a Board Member of the
Long Term Care Ombudsman Program for Eastern Missouri; and a Board Member of the Association for Aging with Developmental
Disabilities. Ms. Brown frequently speaks on legal issues concerning the elderly and the disabled.
Ms. Brown is the recipient of the St. Louis County Older Resident Program, 1996 Volunteer Award; recipient of the
Volunteer of the Year Award, 2000, presented by the Alzheimer's Association; recipient of the Elder Law Attorney of the Year Award,
2001, presented by the Missouri Chapter of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys; and is a volunteer for
the Alzheimer's Association. She is also a recipient of the National Association of Social Workers'
2002 Public Citizen of the Year Award. Ms. Brown was appointed by the Missouri Supreme Court to the Disciplinary Committee,
which oversees the ethical conduct of lawyers in the State of Missouri.

Christine A. Alsop
Christine A. Alsop is an attorney and partner in the firm. She has been in practice for over 16 years and has significant experience in the
areas of elder law and estate planning as well as extensive litigation and advocacy experience. She earned her B.A. from St. Louis University in 1985
and her J.D. from Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana in 1989. She also received the "Vaughn Award" from Valparaiso for outstanding work in
trial advocacy. She is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Illinois and is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
Her areas of concentration in addition to Elder Law and Estate Planning are Probate Administration, Guardianship/Conservatorship matters, Medicaid and
Long Term Care Planning and Special Needs Trusts. Ms. Alsop serves on the Board of the local chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and
is also a member of the planning committee for the litigation section of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Alicia A. Albus
Valedictorian of her graduating class at William Woods University, Fulton, Missouri in 1994,
Ms. Albus graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia School of Law in 1997,
where she received the American Jurisprudence Award in the area of Disability Law.
Additionally Ms. Albus holds a degree in Accounting and has worked as a tax consultant in a
Big Five Accounting Firm. She is currently an associate attorney at the firm of
Oelbaum & Brown, St. Louis, working with Martha Brown in the area of Elder Law, focusing
primarily on Medicaid planning. She is a member of the Missouri Bar as well as the Bar
Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Missouri Bar Elder Law Committee. She is
active in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Organization and a member of the St. Patrick Center
Development Cabinet.
Micah Huff
Received his B.A. in Economics & Political Science in 1998 from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his
J.D. in 2001 from the University of Denver College of Law.
He also has an LL.M. in tax from the University of Denver College of Law and Daniels School of Business which he received in 2005.
After graduation from law school, he was a judicial law clerk for the Denver District Court Judge Sheila Rappaport from 2002-2004.
From 2004-2005 he was judicial law clerk for Denver Probate Court Chief Judge C. Jean Stewart, which is the only exclusive probate
court in the State of Colorado. He began his career in private practice in 2005 with the law firm of R.L. Steenrod, Jr. & Associates, P.C.
in Denver which was also the Public Administrator's Office for the City and County of Denver.
Micah practiced in the area of probate, estate administration, estate planning, elder law, Medicaid and probate litigation.
He was a member of the Statutory Revisions Subcommittee for the Trusts and Estates section of the Colorado Bar Association in charge of
drafting revised fiduciary misconduct section for the Colorado Probate Code. He founded Huff Law, LLC in mid-2007 in
Colorado before relocating to Missouri. He is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Bar Association of
Metropolitan St. Louis, St. Charles County Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, Colorado Bar Estates and Trust section,
Colorado Bar Taxation section, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. His areas of concentration are Elder Law and probate litigation.
